Elections
The Quitman County Board of Elections and Voter Registration functions as the superintendent of elections and conducts primaries and elections in accordance with State law. The Board performs all services and functions necessary to support the election process, recruits, selects, hires, trains and assigns personnel to serve as poll officials. The board also conducts qualification for candidates, develops ballots for elections, acquires, maintains, prepares and test equipment used to conduct elections.
We are responsible for voter registration; ensuring that elections are free, impartial, fair, accurate, convenient and accessible to all voters; encourages voter participation; provides excellent customer service to voters, candidates, and the media; and to help the public understand and follow all laws, rules and regulations.

Quitman County Board of Elections and Voter Registration meet on the last Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM in the Quitman Elections Office, at 37 Old School Road, Georgetown, GA 39854.
