| Georgetown-Quitman will hold a public hearing to initiate an update to the pre-disaster mitigation plan. This is a community effort to be better prepared for potential disasters that can reasonably be expected to occur locally, and to position the community to be eligible for funding to make such preparations. The meeting will be held in the county commission meeting room, 25 Old School Road, Tuesday January 17, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. The public is encouraged to attend and contribute to the update.
